Bruce and Denise Morcombe, Ambassadors for Child Safety, visited the Kelso community with some important messages for us all. The entire school community assembled in the school hall to listen to these very courageous and inspiring people.

Their visit to us was about sharing safety tips that they hope will help to keep us safe from harm. The talk was also about having respect for yourself, others, your family and community people.

Their safety message is as simple as 3 words; Recognise, React, Report.

Recognise that there are dangers out there, but you can help to keep yourself safe. Be alert for the clues that warn us when something is unsafe.

React is about the choices you make to keep yourself safe. You can often plan ahead or think about how you might react in an unsafe situation.

Report  - this means telling an adult in your life who cares about your safety when there is a problem. Adults can keep you safe from harm and can make a situation safe again for you.
