Anzac Day 2017

Wreaths laid at the Thuringowa war memorial
Kelso's school leaders laid wreaths at the 2017 Dawn Service at Thuringowa.

Kelso State School was well represented by students staff and parents at two of the Anzac Day events held in Thuringowa yesterday.

Mr Mac, Mrs Lubbe, Mrs Cataldo, 4 of our school leaders (Skye, Georgia, Tannae and Mikayla) and their parents braved the early morning chill to attend the Dawn Service at Thuringowa. In a moving ceremony, our school leaders were the first of the school students to lay our two wreaths at the foot of the Thuringowa War Memorial. After the ceremony was over we caught up with several other Kelso families who attended the ceremony.

Later in the morning, 16 of our staff members, approximately 55 students and their  parents were Kelso Proud as they marched in the Anzac Day parade from The Willows to the Thuringowa War Memorial.
